Specialist Mounting

We always use museum methods of mounting using reversible, water based, archival tapes that suit the type and weight of the artwork substrate or support.
Where necessary or required we use Japanese acid-free papers to make tabs and hinges pasted with nori.
On platform mounting we use acid-free lined fomecore, museum or conservation boards and Japanese hinging.
For heavier paper-based items and certain other items that are to be float mounted we use strong, lie-flat, museum slot hinging methods.
For 3D items or textiles we use sewing and threads to locate items and occasionally adhesives in consultation with the customer.
